Capaz de 517 cv de potência, o C63 AMG Black Series Coupe vem com motor AMG 6.3 V8. Isso faz com que o esportivo leve 4,2 segundos para ir do zero aos 100km. O câmbio tem 7 marchas e AMG SPEEDSHIFT.

O visual é agressivo e tem elementos esportivos, como suspensão rebaixada e paralamas alargados. As rodas são 19 polegadas. O comprador pode ainda optar pelo pacote AMG Track Package, que inclui pneus esportivos.

Novo motor V8 aspirado deriva do antigo 5.5 V8 biturbo, que equipa as versões 63 AMG de Classe E, CLS, CL e S

O baixo consumo não costuma ser foco nos modelos da Mercedes-Benz preparados pela AMG, sua divisão esportiva. Mas o novíssimo motor 5.5 litros V8 aspirado, além de produzir poderosos 422 cavalos de potência, ainda é 30% mais econômico que o antigo 5.5 V8 biturbo de 360 cv – lançado em 2010 e que serviu de base.

SLK 55 AMG estreia no Salão de Frankfurt

Embora não use as turbinas, o novo motor V8 é mais forte tanto em potência quanto em torque – são pesados 55 kgfm aos 4.500 giros ante os 52 kgfm anteriores. Mas o destaque do bloco curiosamente não é seu poder de fogo: um sistema desativa metade dos cilindros em velocidade de cruzeiro, para economizar combustível.

Segundo a Mercedes, o motor V8 passa a trabalhar com apenas quatro cilindros quando não há demanda por potência (em viagens, por exemplo). E mesmo com menos cilindros em ação, o motor ainda entrega 23,4 kgfm de torque. O bloco 5.5 V8 aspirado equipará a versão 55 AMG da nova geração do roadster SLK. China has a problem. Although it has the financial and material resources to compete with the world’s automakers, it lacks the design and engineering knowhow.

Mercedes-Benz Tops Secret Shopper Study of U.S. Dealers, Lincoln Places Last in Luxury Segment

Mercedes-Benz dealers were number one for customer treatment in the US according to an independent study by survey company Pied Piper. The California-based company hired 3,524 “secret shoppers” and sent them to US dealerships in order to determine how their salesmen were performing in anything from explaining a car’s features to closing a deal.
This is the third year in a row that Mercedes-Benz, which looks set to top the sales charts this year in the luxury segment, has topped Pied Piper’s study.

At the press launch of the Mercedes-Benz E63 AMG, selected members of the media got a sneak preview of the all-new C63 AMG Coupe Black Series. And some of them, managed to capture a few photographs of the car but the pictures were hastily removed on most sites after Mercedes’ intervened.
This was supposed to be a secret preview, since the car isn’t scheduled to be unveiled before the German Grand Prix at Nurburgring at the 24th of July. Therefore, you can guess that Mercedes’ people aren’t too happy about the leak.
