Ford may be the featured manufacturer for this year's SEMA show, but that doesn't mean it's forgotten about its other divisions. After seeing what customizers did with cars like the Chrysler 300 and Cadillac Escalade, Ford is offering up its own luxury cars from the Lincoln brand for the full SEMA treatment.
Headlining the group are the Lincoln MKS, MKZ, and MKT models. Can Lincoln be hip?

Rick Bottom kept it simple and old-school with a ride height lowered by 2 inches, shaved door handles, minor body work and just enough chrome trim to accent the belt line without going overboard. Inside, two-tone leather, floating arm rests, and a custom audio system up the luxury factor.

Raceskinz MKS
rue to its name, Raceskinz re-skinned the MKS with more carbon-fiber trim inside and out than you can shake a stick at. That includes dash and door trim, a new roof, fog light bezels, mirror caps, a rear diffuser, a rear spoiler, side door moldings, antenna cover, license plate frames, and more done up in carbon fiber. Raceskinz promises that the carbon treatment is tasteful and not overdone, though the laundry list of add-ons worries us. A custom rear center console and high-powered LIIV entertainment system complete the package.

MKZ by 3dCarbon
3dCarbon went nice and simple with its MKZ and added a new rear spoiler and rear roof spoiler, stainless steel door moldings and exhaust tips, and 20-in. TSW wheels wrapped in low-profile tires to the exterior. Jazzing up the engine is a Magnaflow exhaust that helps it breathe and sound better.

Without question, the highlight of Lexus' display at next week's SEMA show will be the 552-hp, mostly carbon fiber LFA. The nearly $400,000 exotic, which will have a production run of just 500, will play halo car over the pack of six tuners Lexus is bringing. Show attendees get to ogle, drool, and complain about the price -- never mind that they're not buying one -- with the sheet metal in view (read our First Drive of the LFA here, including VIDEO).

Highlighting Lexus' factory accessory line are two cars: the GS 350 and IS 350C F-Sport by TRD. Both wear an unmissable "Vibrance Orange Glow" paint job, and the full line of F-Sport accessories, including 19-in forged wheels, upgraded brakes, lowering springs, and shocks. Five Axis supplies the body kits for both.

Three more IS 350Cs will be on display, varying widely in tune. We've already seen Fox Marketing's supercharged drop-top, which boasts "Foxy Green" paint, a Seibon carbon fiber rear wing, iForged Sprint wheels, adjustable coilovers, and bodywork borrowed from an IS F. The IS C by 0-60 Magazine and Design Craft Fabrication boasts a GReddy exhaust and ECU, Advan Racing wheels, Brembo brakes, KW suspension, and a Ings+1 body kit. VIP Auto Salon and JTuned.com teamed up to make a "Matador Red" IS C. It's more of a low-key approach -- certainly when compared to the cars surrounding it -- that wears a carbon fiber hood and spoiler, exhaust and intake, and Work wheels. Lexus says the upgrades amounted to a mere $15,000.

On the other end of the spectrum is David Huang's IS 300, which rounds out Lexus' SEMA efforts. Huang apparently dropped more than $100,000 on upgrading the sedan. Results? A claimed 1000-hp from its tuned 2JZ-GTE mill. Huang's "IS 1000," as it's been dubbed, sports "Midnight Purple" paint, Work 20-inch wheels, brakes from Endless, Zeal coilovers, HKS sway bars, and a Kansai rear strut tower bar.

Cadillac may offer the CTS in three different body styles, but last we checked, a soft-top convertible isn't in the works. Fortunately for those hankering for a Caddy with a chopped-off top, Drop Top Customs is already working on building such a creation for the 2010 SEMA show.
DTC isn't a stranger to either custom convertibles or the SEMA show. Founded nearly three decades ago, the company has converted all sorts of production hardtops into fully functional convertibles. DTC received plenty of attention at SEMA two years back, when it helped craft a convertible Challenger that won a design award from Chrysler. Another creation, a Chevrolet Camaro convertible, also received plenty of attention at last year's show.
Drop Top Customs Cadillac Cts Coupe Convertible Rendering Side
Presently, DTC offers a convertible version of the four-door CTS, but for this year's SEMA show, it's working on crafting a ragtop CTS coupe. CEO Jeff Moran tells us he thinks the rakish roofline of the coupe will work much better as a drop top. If the completed conversion holds true to DTC's renderings, we'll agree.
Moran says he expects to receive a stock CTS coupe "any day now," and doesn't expect the build process to take very long. If all goes according to plan, DTC expects to offer two-door CTS convertibles to customers starting this fall.

2011 Hyunda Sonata Turbo Sema Render Rear Three Quarters
Joining Hyundai's ARK Performance Genesis Coupe time attack car at this year's SEMA Show will be a pearl white 2011 Sonata Turbo built with luxury and style in mind. Unfortunately, this is the only teaser image we received from Hyundai.
Fabricators say that Mercedes-Benz, Ferrari, and Porsche sports cars inspired their design direction. Its aggressive exterior lines, for example, take much from the Brabus CLS Rocket. The car rides on 20-inch one-piece wheels as well, much like the Rocket.
Inside, "strategically placed stitched leather" like that of the Ferrari F430 wraps nearly every interior surface. Carbon fiber accents add more sportiness to the Korean car's repertoire.
Under the hood, engineers added an upgraded turbo, exhaust, and intake systems. No word on power output, but it should be considerably more than the stock 2.0-liter four-cylinder turbo's 274 horsepower.

2011 Ford Explorers

Ford unveiled its brand-new 2011 Explorer earlier this year and is hoping the serious redesign will help boost the SUV's sales. One way in which the company hopes to show the vehicle's potential is with three customized Explorers it will show at SEMA.

"It's so new and reinvented, and the styling is standout from the inside out," Craig Patterson, marketing manager for the new Explorer, said. "Explorer is the perfect choice for people to accessorize. Those who want to customize it are starting from a great base that is extremely well received, and that's where the attraction lies."
Ford is certainly pulling out the stops to give people ideas on how to accessorize the new Explorer as no less than three different SUVs will be on Ford's SEMA stand. One of those Explorers, with its 24-inch, three-piece, billet aluminum wheels and blacked-out lower trim, is designed to appeal to the urban crowd. The SUV is done by Ford's partner in crime Funkmaster Flex along with Team Baurtwell. The interior has also been modified with a Katzkin two-tone leather interior and high-end sound system.
CGS Performance Parts 2011 Ford Explorer
The second Explorer to be shown at SEMA is done by Galpin Auto Sports and takes the Explorer's luxury to a new level "that even James Bond would enjoy." It's no surprise that Ford mentions James Bond as that was GAS's inspiration in creating the car. The Explorer is done in a custom silver exterior color with custom lights and 24-inch wheels. Special care was also taken in the interior with a suede and leather headliner and matching seats. An iPad has also been added as rear-seat entertainment.
